Joe's Orbit is more than just a band - for singer/songwriter Joseph Sloan, Joe's Orbit is a small universe to which he is in command. Currently backed by his friends in Isosceles Triangle, Sloan created this collaborative effort to merge the flexibility and creativity of an independent musician while being able to perform and collaborate with a group of artists he admires. Being his own alternative/rock/country/acoustic outfit is his own observations and melodies that are carried into the studio.

Sloan has enjoyed taking a step back from his punk and metal roots to take note of the discoveries he's made in his life and set a tone that is more accessible and reflective of the world around him. Calling on friends, musicians and even his mother (on accordion) Sloan arranges the pieces and hits record. The songs are tales of the places he has lived, these are stories he hopes to take with him around the world, a hopeful and traveling man. Joe's Orbit will then be packed up and taken on the road, to find new creative minds and friends, ultimately for new collaborations to be played out onstage.
